Device Charging
- The BoldHue Starter Kit includes a USB-C charging cable.
- To charge the BoldHue device:
- Plug the smaller USB-C side of the cable into the port on the BoldHue device
- Plug the larger USB side into a standard US 120v wall outlet via USB port or USB charging block.
- Your wand may not work properly if the BoldHue device does not have sufficient battery life, as the device simultaneously charges the wand.
- Please allow at least 2 hours of charging before initial use of the device.
* Your BoldHue device & wand may have lost its battery charge during transit - For best continued results, we recommend always keeping the device plugged in.
Battery Life
- Connect your phone via Bluetooth to the BoldHue device.
- Your BoldHue device battery life will be displayed in two areas:
- In the bottom left of your phone screen > select "Account" > under "My BoldHue" you will see a battery symbol to the right
- In the bottom middle of your phone screen > select "Scan & Make" > at the top of your screen you will see "Connected to BoldHue - XXXX" with the battery symbol to the right
- A lightening bolt symbol will display over the battery symbol indicating the BoldHue device is properly plugged in with the USB-C cable and is charging.
Firmware Update
When you first turn on your BoldHue device and connect it to your phone via Bluetooth, it will prompt you to perform a firmware update (this may happen when attempting your first 'Scan & Make').
Once you accept the firmware update on your phone, it will send the update to your BoldHue device, once the update is finished your BoldHue device will shut down (screen will turn off).
To restart your BoldHue Device:
- Press and hold the power button (middle button) for at least 30 seconds until the screen turns on.
- Reconnect your phone and BoldHue device via Bluetooth.
After that, you’re all set to create your perfect foundation with BoldHue! 🎉
